General ideas how to support your child learning German at home:

Learning a language is similar to learning an instrument. The more you practice the better you get.
Exposing your child to a foreign language once a week is not enough.
Here are some ideas how to support your child at home:

  1. Communicate with your child. Let your child show you what she/he is doing in class.

  2. Communicate with the teacher. What can we do at home?

  3. Make room in your calendar for an additional 1/2 hour German Fun time a week. Ask you teacher about videos
& other fun material to work on. You could enroll your child in an additional German Online Class
(additional 30' or 45' exposure a week - see schedule below)

  4. Volunteer to help in class.

Private Classes (All Levels & Ages)

We offer private classes year-round for one or two students at a time. Please email us so we can put you in contact with one of our teachers. Classes are $60 per hour and may be purchased in blocks of four ($240) or eight ($480).  Payment details will be provided once you are matched to a teacher.

The initial block of classes will include a first meeting with your teacher to discuss class expectations and content. Private classes usually take place at Atonement Lutheran Church. Alternative locations may be used if agreed-to in advance by your instructor.

Class fees are not refundable and must be paid in full prior to the first day of class. Please note you must contact your instructor directly at least 24 hours in advance of re-scheduling or cancelling a session. Late cancellations will incur a $25 fee.

Very relieved to have passed the exam! I give all the credit to the Boulder German School. My teachers, Anna Linneman and Marion Szilagyi, have been excellent! I look forward to continuing my learning and hopefully taking the A2 test in the future. Thank you again! Viele Grüße!
— A1 Student

Maximilian is so much looking forward to it and asks me “Am I going to the German school tomorrow?” EVERYDAY!
